Problem with Visuals. Any help would be appreciated :)

I've had this problem since christmas now as its when I got my new TV.

Unfortunately, someone in my family seems to think I'm NOT a hardcore gamer, and as a result had bought me an LCD TV/PC Monitor-in-one kind of thing

Now, since LCDs are really only good for use as a PC monitor (because TV playback is shockingly poor) I've decided its time for an alternative.

I'm reluctant to replace the thing as its still very good for its main purpose of displaying my PC etc, but I've tried almost every cable type out there and nothing improves the TV/console feedback noticably over the default.

It has been suggested that a VGA converter might be what I need to display the visual quality that I so badly want, but I have no idea which I should buy, if any at all.

Magic VGA's a name I've been looking into, and liksang/play-asia have quite a few to choose from as well, but most of them are priced at around ?20, so I'd rather not buy one only to find out it does nothing for me.

what consoles have you got and what regions are they from or are they modded.

unless the lcd has component video connections, or you have a usa cube and a converted vga cable.........................you might aswell stick with crt.


otherwise the cheapest lcd with component connection would be around the ?600 mark.(and really average at that).
