    returning dead-pixelled DS to play-asia

okay, so I just got my brand new pure white DS from PA, replacing the much-loved silver one i had to sell when i lost my job last month. guess what? dead pixels. five of the ****ers, scattered around towards the centre of the top screen.

so, questions: has anyone any experience in sending a DS back to PA? do they even take them back? i've emailed the customer support people, but i've got to wait 'til morning thanks to the time difference, and some hope would be nice.

also - do they only send the replacement unit when they've received the old one? how long does that usually take? do they check the new one for dead pixels before they send it off? do you have to pay extra for shipping? and what about customs?

thanks for any and all help, people. wah wah.

Sending it to Nintendo would be better. Less hassle.

However, a foreign warranty will not apply over here, and therefore sending a DS to either Nintendo Europe or Nintendo Japan would simply result in them sending it back.
