Setting up a forum like this one

I am thinking of stuffing a forum into a website I'm doing the moment. I notice NTSC-UK uses Vbulletin. I've ran the tests on my host and it's all PASSes.

Could you admin types give me any advise on setiing up a forum. Pitfalls. Things to do etc.

I'd be tempted to trial Invision Powerboard 2.0, too. Fantastic forum.

Can't help with VB, they don't seem to offer a free trial to test it out.

Ian: do you mean technical or social? The main difficulties and challenges in running any forum aren't technicalities, they're moderation. And most of that depends on the kind of forum you want it to be. So: more information?
