    PSP dead pixels

I just bought a US PSP and it's coming to me next week.

I was wondering with all that talk about Dead Pixels...Are they really all that common? quite worried about it. DO you Have it and does it Spoil your whole gaming experience?

    Thanks

My PSP has a couple. No it doesn't spoil the gaming experience or movie watching experience for that matter. The screen is a nice high res so you can barely see them unless you go looking... unless you've got a bunch of them all in one area I wouldn't worry about it.

I've got one on my laptop right at the top in the middle. It just looks like a speck of dust but you cant get rid of it. You just learn to get used to it and dont look at it..

I don't have my PSP yet either, and was feeling left out with all the dead pixel discussion, so I decided to do a dead/stuck pixel count on my DS. I have one stuck pixel on the bottom screen (stuck on blue) on the far right edge. Hadn't even noticed it until I went looking for it.

My first DS had 1 dead pixel and my first PSP had 12.

I exchanged them both for machines with none.

Personally speaking, although they may only look like small specks of light, my field of vision would keep wandering up to look at them. And every time I saw them I felt a little bit disappointed.

My launch JP DS came with no dead pixels, and it's still clean as a whistle.

My PSP has 6, all only visible on black screens. However, as has been stated many times on this forum before, you don't even notice them whilst playing games.
