Need Help From Those That Recommended Playing FFX to me. ARGGGGGG!!!!!

    Ok,

well i've been playing it quite a bit the past few weeks and i'm now facing Sin Overdrive (The one where you have to kill him before he overdrives.)

    and i can't do it

I'm starting the battle with Tidus casting haste on everyone, using long distance attacks until he's close enough then I use Tidus, Auron and Wakka to try and beat the pooh out of him.

When it's my last turn I get out Yuna and use her overdrive to get a decent hit but it's just not enough.

    Oh,

And i'm trying to do this without spending another 10 hours levelling up!

FYI I don't have quick attack (As suggested by a friend) or something that the al-behd girl can use to give everyone 9999 attacks (Or so i've heard)

HELP BEFORE I WIPE THE SAVE IN ANGER

5 hours? I don't know.. I always levelled a bit if I couldnt beat a boss. It's been a while since I played FFX, so I'm not sure where you are in the game. But if I were you I would level up a bit...

It's cool just sorted it. Checked a couple of FAQ's and it was a case of making sure everyone was in haste and the overdrive's were full.

I'm right near the end buddy, I'm inside SIN!

You're at the perfect time to go and hunt out all the celestial weapons. The end of FFX and where you have the freedom to get the stupidest weapons in the world is where the game really shone for me.

Go dodge 200 bolts of Lightning, and you can level up at the same time

I noticed mentioning of them in the FAQ's i was looking at, There's also talk of how to get all your characters hp at 9999 each time as well as constant 9999 hits

Did you go and get the dark aeons? I never realised it was only the pal version and international that had them! For once we didn't get shafted....well we still got borders

I've currently clocked up 51hours on it and thats enjoying it rather than just trying to finish it fast.

Would you say it's honestly worth prosponing the ending and going for the dark aeons etc?

Definately worth it. I absolutely loved doing all the side quests, it really made the game so much more special to me. We clocked up a 200 hour save file in my first year at University. Each character had 9999 health, each character could knock off about 40,000HP with each hit. Makes Sin laughable when you get to fight him!

Word of advice though - you may as well use a FAQ because there's no way you'd work out what to do in some of the sidequests otherwise.

Glad you're enjoying it though, it's a great game.

              Hi Tom,

Yeh i'm loving the game to bits, got X-2 sat on the shelf waiting for me after i've finished this one.

I was half tempted to this for it as just by looking at FAQ's there SOOOOO much left to do.

U think it's worth it? I've got a few other RPGs waiting to be played but everything about 10 just seems spot on

No idea, I've not read that book. I found Gamefaqs to be suitable to get everything though.

FFX-2 is a bit of a disappointment. It's too girly, and although there's loads of sidequests, it just has a feel of being "FFX - lite".

It's definately worth doing all the sidequests, not a lot else touches FFX on the PS2 in my opinion.

                  Cooool, cheers buddy.

What i'm thinking of doing is finishing it to get the climax over with! Then reverting back to my last save (I've just finished Seymore for the last time!!) to do the miniquests etc.

Although im not saying FFX is my favourite FF in the series (although it could possibly be as the love story is amazing and the twist at the end truly compelling) I managed to clock just over 300 hours in this game. I wanted to get everything done and infact I didnt finally complete the story mode until over 300 hours. Then I had to kill all the `bosses` at the creature capture place in the calm plains part (dunno, where you find tidus' ulti wep)

How come you have waited so long to play this game?
