Hi-Saturn does it have RGB out???

Hi guys n gals,
I know the HiSaturn NAVI doesnt have RGB support and its neccesary to mod it, I wondered if the standard Hitachi Hi-Saturn has the same probs??? Or if Hitachi have been kind and made the video out RGB???

Same as any other Japanese Saturn.

all STD JPN saturn - as well as PAL - will do RGB when using Saturn RGB cable from Sega... Not so sure about US Saturn though coz never tried...

On a similar note, can a UK Saturn 21pin scart (RGB not composite) cable be used on a Japanese White Saturn. Not according to Raven Games, I had to have a 'special one' made for it (translation=more expensive). Also I've seen on other boards that Japanese 21pin scart (RGB not composite) cables are wired differently to UK ones. (although I have the official Japanese PS1 cable, a right beast, and a UK one from E.B and both work fine on my tv ??)
Does this only apply to certain A/V gear (XRGB2+ upscan convertor) or next gen ?

Raven Games talk a bunch of ****e, Nice guys used to live about 30seconds away from them! like i say nice lads, but wouldnt believe all they tell you, they said id need a ?40.00 step down for a PS2 once too!...lol! I used my RGB cable on my switched uk and my jp V-Saturn no probs!!
Cheers for the help, Hi-Saturn Navi doesnt output RGB, so thought id check, otherwise ill have to get the old tool kit out for some soldering! ...Interestingly the Navi's screen is only composite and a small rgb mod has to be done internally!

Hmm, I bought a random "Saturn RGB cable" from eBay (pretty sure it's 3rd party) and I get a lovely display off a model 1 JP machine, so...

Hi-Saturn is nothing more than stock standard Saturn in black shell with Hitachi logo and bundled with Hitachi VCD card...
