PS2 Promo disc

I got WRC 4 promo disc on ebay for 3.99 and

is Promo a full version of game without the manual and dvd case and sleeve. Just checking.

Be carefull its not a network beta version there are lots of these floating around as sony did a network trial for the online mode of this game. Once the beta is over the network servers get turned off and the disk is useless as it has no offline mode.

Promo discs are the official term for a full game, just in a slim case, with no instructions, and a boring DVD design printed on it. They usually say Promo Only, not for resale.

The only difference between them and demo discs are the demos say 'Demo Only, not for resale'.

But who knows whether your ebay seller knows the difference

not sure on PS2 but on DC there were several and usually SAMPLE is printed on the disc spindle area...

yes i have that wrc4 ps2 beta disc and its ays demo on it so you'd know if it was the full game or not
