    Help! - PSP wireless network

    Hi guys,

Having now played Ridge, Wipeout and Lumines to death, my attention has turned to the other features of the PSP. I want to setup my PSP so that it can connect to the network to look for firmware updates / game updates (wipeout for example).

I do NOT have a wireless router. I have a normal wired router to which my PC is connected, then within my PC I have a wi-fi card...

How do I setup my PSP to connect to the network through my PC wi-fi card?

Anyone who can point me in the right direction?

    Cheers guys.

How competent are you with windows networking?

You would have to enable internet sharing via the Wifi card, and make sure your PC knows the wired card is where it can get the internet. It's doable from a wizard in the My Network folder. I think it's 'set up home or small office network' something along those lines.

It's very doable, so no need to buy anything else.

Excellent thats what I like to hear...

I'm good with traditional networks (I have setup my home network of 4 computers via a central router etc) but I have never used a wireless network before.

Does anyone have step by step instructions?

One thing to note is that Wipeout Pure's content (according to Gamesradar's recent article) will feature a USB download on the game's website, as I imagine other Sony authorised downloadable content should. It wouldn't surprise me if most publishers follow suit, as I'm sure they're well aware at how small the PSP's ownership fraction possessing a wireless network will be.

This doesn't solve problems with online multiplayer gaming however.

Look for the Wizard my friend. For he is wise. (And if things go wrong, your PC isn't going to explode- experiment a little!)

Hmmmm...I've just tried playing around with that wizard but not had any luck. I don't really know what I'm doing TBH.
