Going wireless (Mac, Xbox & PSP) advice needed

I'm thinking of going wireless, what equipment do I need? It needs to be compatible with my iMac, Xbox and PSP. Cheapest option would be good.
I don't want an Airport base, do I still need an Aiport card, or are others available for the mac?
    Needs lots of info, thanks

I got a wireless router/modem from argos the other day for ?80, its a belkin one, because its got the modem built into it, It means I can hid it in the corner of the room downstairs with nothing else attatched to it. I've got a wireless-g card in my pc which I think costs about ?30.
If you wanna have a wireless xbox you need a wireless brige which is about ?60, I've just connected mine straight into the back of the wireless router with a cable though.

i've done the same as boris... wireless pc to pc and a cable from the router to xbox (as it was stacks cheaper and naff all cabling was needed really).

i've got a netgear router, you may want to check the netgear website to check compatability (as i know naff all about apples) but it was pretty much plug and play.

Cool. I didn't actually mean having me Xbox wireless, just something that was compatible with all of the above.

I've got a Netgear router, and it works fine with the Airport Extreme card in my iBook, the D-Link wireless bridge I use with my Xbox (and with my old iMac sometimes) and my PSP. You don't need to buy an Airport for your Mac, you can use any wireless bridge, but the Airport is neater because it's internal.

Wireless Xbox a bit tricky, as mentioned above - bridges are pricy.

I've got a Netgear wireless/router/adsl modem - goes into adsl line, four network sockets into which the Xbox is plugged, and wireless goes everywhere. Your Mac will need an Airport Extreme card, which is just their name for a 802.11g card (assuming it's a modern iMac) and then it should all work. My Powerbook works fine with my Netgear router/modem.

If you need adsl, I'd get it built in; otherwise, you can forgo the adsl modem part and get a device about ?20 cheaper.

They're also dead easy to set up.

Everyone has suggested solutions if you want to be able to play your PSP online, but if you want tunnelling, ie playing Ridge Racers "online" using the wireless mode in it to play other people around the world, you need an ethernet connection to the iMac. The iMac's Airport card will then act as a wireless access point. The reason it needs the card in the computer for tunnelling is that tunnelling works in conjunction with software, which you can't have if you connect it to a wireless router.

Reading this I understand that all I need to connect my PC in my room wirelessly to the one downstairs when the net connection is, is a wireless router, which connects to the PC downstairs and then a wireless card receiever type thingy to plug into my PC?
