Games keep freezing?

When I play games such as Counter Strike: Source my PC freezes about 15-20 minutes into the game. I shouldn't have any trouble playing them as my specs are fine (I think..?) and want to know why the problem keeps occuring. Any ideas? (All the settings are turned down to the lowest they can go, btw)

My Specs:
Intel Pentium4 2.53GHz
512MB RAM
GeForce4 MX 440

Does it work smoothly with you running around and shooting people for 15-25 minutes before failing? If that's the case, get your RAM checked out as that can cause no end of problems.

The other thing it might be is your Graphics Card. I'm sure the MX is missing some vital component, which is why so many games these days specifically don't support it.

But if you've got it up and running for a period of time, then I reckon it's your RAM.

as corrupt rose said but also do the usual like checking drivers. ive had no end of problems with games rebooting my whole machine which is usually sorted out with driver cleaner and new drivers.
