    Argos Switcher Question

I bought an Argos Switcher yesterday, since so many people seemed to recommend it on here, and I'm impressed - it's so much better than the ****ty switchers they sell at Asda! I bought a switcher from Asda, and they sound was off balance! Fixed on here.

    Just 2 questions -

    1) On the left, there are 2 switches 'B-A' and 'C-A', and underneath them it says 'Record'. What exactly do they do?

    2) The extra RCA/AV port at the top... is it input or output?

    1) Not sure what those buttons are actually for, but with my GC & PS2 hooked up. One or the other has a blue tint to the picture unless I push one of those buttons to rectify it.

The recode buttons are best in a position where they are both up (for normal switcher operatinon)!
To do this, press one of them down very slowly until the other pops up and let go of the one you are pressing so that that pops back up too.

i believe this is so you can plug a VCR (or some sort of recording device) into socket A then use it to record off B or C by pressing the appropriate button

Yeah, it's 'recode' and not 'record' as far as I can remember. I do the same to get them both popped up charles.

So it just clones a signal so you can output it to two sources? Never knew that.

Oh, and I've always thought this switchbox is a good way to show people the difference between RGB and composite, giving that you can toggle it on and off at will.

They're outputs from the TV coming back down the scart lead.
