Psp US Sampler Disk Volume 1 JP compatibility?

Hi
I was just wondering if the US Sampler Disk Volume 1, is fully compatible with the JP version psp?
as the person who I sold mine to, can get the psp game demos to work, but isn't able to access the music videos or the movie trailers,
I seem to remember the music videos were accessed through the psp menu system, but this doesn't seem to be working for this person.
can anyone help ?

its region 1 and the Japanese demo disc doesnt fully work on a us psp

the in game demos work fine

but you dont get an option to even look at the video or music clips, the only option you get under the music and video section is the memory card option - nothing else
