Mini Mac warranty (International)

I have seen this discussed a couple of times but was looking for any final answers.

I had read that only mac portables had an international warranty but after a long conversation with someone on the apple store call centre they recon it's only imacs that DON'T have an international warranty therefore meaning a mini mac has.

Any ideas as i'm off to NY next week?

No.. You can read this in the warranty blurb that comes with the mini.. only the mac laptops have international warranty.. you would need to send the mini back to the country of purchase for repair.

Also, someone told me that the PSU's in them aren't 110-240v, i.e. if you buy one in the US and plug it in here, it will make a nice burning smell....is that right?

Er not sure.. I'll check tonight.. though all you would need to do is buy a different power block as its external to the mac anyhow.

However I have just finished a lengthy conversation with apple support. Mac Mini does indeed have an international warranty. All portables and mac mini, as mac mini is referred to as a semi portable. I have a case number from apple referring to the documentation etc

Nope, they are auto-switching, it'll work fine.
