    Installing XBMC without FTP

I'd like to install Xbox Media Centre on my Xbox, but I don't want to FTP with my computer as my computer is miles away from my Xbox.

My 'box is softmodded, so what are my options for installation?

    Cheers kids

take your xbox to your pc. you'll need to take the video lead too, as i don't think the xbox will boot happily if the cable is not plugged in. anything else will be loads more hassle.

Or just burn the files to a cd and use the filemanager to copy them to the xbox, assuming you used a softmod that has a filemanager. Note, you have to make an iso out of the files using SimpleX before burning them or your xbox can't read it.

Great, cheers Sane, that's really helpful .

EDIT: Any idea where I could obtain SimpleX or a software that will perform the same task for me? I did a google for SimpleX but it turned up loads of unrelated rubbish.

EDIT EDIT: No worries, found one, MagicISO. Naff program but did the job.

If that doesn't work get Qwix and use that to make the iso. If you put boXplorer as the default.xbe on the disk you can then use it to copy the xbmc files to wherever you wish.
