Jap DC Shooters - Can someone list them please?

    Hi peeps,

I'm looking for a basic list of decent jap shooters, i've already got border down and trizeal is in the post.

I'm not looking for any smaller lesser known titles (Unless they're really worth it). Just wanna build up a collection of Jap DC shumps!

    Psyvariar 2
    Zero Gunner 2
    Ikaruga
    Mars Matrix
    Giga Wing
    Giga Wing 2
    Chaos Field
    Rainbow Cotton
    Trizeal
    Borderdown
Castle of Shikigami no shiro 2

There might be one or two more as well...

Try a games search (see homepage). Put any old thing in to get to the advanced search. Then leave the text field blank and select DC and Shooter.

Cheers for the input guys, I've owned most of them in the past and regret selling my DC collection to fund the last yr of uni, hence why i'm building up a collection again.

Got this PM tho from someone who'l remain nameless, think it's totally out of order myself.

How about playing the shooters you've already got and super play them, instead of trying to be big and collecting them all to grow to dust on your shelf, Especially when you dont even know anything about the shooters which is clear. It just seems your jumping on the bandwagon without making any effort yourself. Seems a complete waste of money and a waste of a good title going into the wrong hands.

              Just a peice of advice!

                    roflmao! what a total asshole!

Dont let him put you off m8! I was a bit of a late comer to the dreamcast myself and have just started picking up games, including some of the shooters.

Although I decided to pick up some of the titles on the current generation of consols instead, games like gunbird 1&2 and Gigawing 1&2 have had ports to the PS2 in collected editions containing both games, which might save you afew quid.

If you include this one you should list the far better REZ, too.

It's the other way round for me - finished with the DC, new to the NeoGeo.

                          Ikaruga
                          Shikigami no Shiro II
                          Mars Matrix
                          Psyvariar 2

Are the ones I'd rate as the best shooters I played on the DC.

Zero Gunner 2 is boring rubbish IMO.

Think I was one of many unfortunate people who were just too young to be able to afford the DC when it was released, and then went out and bought a PS2 when they could finaly afford to buy a console. Fortunately now I have a job, I can afford to pick up all the DC games I missed out on, and some of the more recent shooters \o/

Ive been playing alot of Shikigami no Shiro II on the gamecube at the moment, and its a top game, I might pickup the DC version while its still available, as im enjoying it alot!

is the gigawing 1&2 pack called Giga Wing Generations? as that's the only thing i can find, thanks as for dc shooters, my favorites are ikaruga and shikigami no shiro 2, both brilliant although i have ikaruga on pal GC which is supposed to be a crap version, don't know why though?
