So far so good, one thing that I notice about this one is that due to the addition of the soul absorber (thing), and the grav gun (ripped unashamedly from HL2) the game is quite a lot more involved, with several battles Ive lost control of the situation because Ive not been able to cycle a weapon fast enough, usually picking the grav gun, fist or flashlight instead. Quite pleased so far, already Ive seen a couple of new enemies and Im only a few levels in. Its more of the same so far, but with added elements to it.

Aye, just used the slow-motion, pretty awesome. It does blatantly borrow from other games, but what the hell, its still really cool.

I've been playing this off and on since it came out. The artefact is the most interesting addition, and the game becomes heavily dependant on it later on. It will spawn so many big monsters that you simply must use the artefact to survive.

That said I think I prefered the original Doom 3. More of a pure skill based game, and certainly a lot more shocks. I don't think I've jumped once in Resurrection of Evil.

Still, it's fun in short blasts and I'm enjoying making my way through it. One thing I wish you could do - toggle the grav gun on/off as you can the flashlight. It just acts like a regular gun meaning when you select it you can't just press the same key and jump back to the gun you had previously.
