Mame on Pocket PC, anyone tried it?

Thought I'd post this here rather then the retro section but if the mods feel otherwise, feel free to move it!

I've just got myself a lovely ipaq ppc hx series and recently run accross mame for it.

Now my question is, how well does this run? Is anyone here running it and can give me some impressions, ie how fast it can run stuff, range of games it can handle?

I can't test it out for myself as I'm away for a while but what makes me slightly suspicious of it is that it hasn't been updated for 3 years!! Therefore surely its a bit crap?

Anyway any thoughts on peoples experiences with it would be cool.

What processor do you have?

I've got a 400Mhz Intel PDA which struggles with SNES emulaters, dunno whether MAME is any better.

However I would recommend Betaplayer for your DivX on the go needs and SCUMM for playing all those old Lucasarts/Revolution adventures (which it handles astonishgly well).

Mame CE? Supports a few games of which 1942, Moon Cresta and Frogger were my faves.
