Powerbook and non working usb midi

I can't get my powerbook to recognise my clavinova. I installed the drivers but had to do so through os 9. I searched for newer drivers but had no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Its a CLP170 if it helps.

Retrospective top tip: don't touch OS9/Classic drivers. OS9 handles MIDI very differently, through yucky things such as OMS, none of which is necessary any more...

I couldn't seem to get os9 to work at all anyway.
