Gamestation wouldn't give you anything for it because it's an import. Even though it's multiregion they won't touch it

              it's usually at manager's discretion , however with ninty stuff it's usually a no-no.

don't expect a lot though, won't get much leeway with the prices than can offer.

it's more likely a member of staff unloading his import version 'cos he now wants a uk model. (the games are cheaper 'cos he can get employee discount)

But there isn't a UK version yet.

                  Back on topic? Please?

                    yet....

still on topic, why do you think manager used his disretion in the above example,
                    where other shops refuse?
are you thinking of selling your import one to get uk model?
if the games are region free, who will want to buy import one after uk release?
                    (joe public?)
to sell import now, advertise now, time runing out for early adopters to get their investment back. (release soon)

                    on topic enough???

I'l still buy import even when the pal release is out, firstly 90% of games turn up in america before the uk and secondly videogamesplus's prices are nearly always cheaper than buying from play etc

                        as stated in previous post....

the only reason for buying an import psp (or any other console) is the availability/compatibility of region exclusive games. If the region lockout is not on uk psp why would 'joe public' buy one, forgoing a warranty and the cheap used uk games market. Knowing that they can STILL play US/JAP games on it.
(6 months ahead of release, blah, blah)

I rang Birmingham Gamestation to sell my spare PSP, they said they don't deal in them, CEX offer ?137 cash for a Jap PSP and ?175 for a US one. Add another ?10 (ish) for trade in value.
