Sony Vaio/ Bt Yahoo Software Problem

I have a Sony Vaio Laptop that I have had for a couple of years now that has never let me down.
I have recently just downloaded the new btYahoo browser software and now everytime that I type a message on here or an e-mail or anything really I am getting a message at the bottom of the screen saying:

Searching for links that begin with {Press f3 to jump to the next match} {Press \ to search only links}

While I am typing the screen is going haywire and making error noises, it's driving me nuts can anyone help?

remove the BT Yahoo browser !

guess it's searching for "relevant" advertising ?

Got a PC that is basically off the shelf components (+win98se) and when I dloaded the BT software upgrade (off the official site) it did exactly the same. Something is seriously Fu**ed up. Get rid of the upgrade and stick with the old browser.
(the new one looks nice though)

Been on the phone to the helpdesk for 30mins.

Downloaded latest java, took the software off put it back on again but still having the same problems!!.

just use internet explorer or firefox instead
