DS 'Organiser' software?

does anyone know if there's gonna be anything like this released? strikes me that the DS could do pretty well as a kinda cut down PDA type device... i've used pictochat to keep a few notes in when the DS is in 'sleep' but of course when you want to play a game this all gets erased.......

apparently nintendo has announced a addon in one form or another (not sure if it will be firmware or a physical addon). Not sure where I read it, maybe it was here

anyhow, it would make sense for them to release it
