Megadrive RGB lead acting odd

I just got a new RGB for my megadrive as my old one is nearly disintegrated but the new one only gives sound there is no picture unless you pull the lead out partially then a picture flickers. My main gaming TV isn't RGB but that ddin't stop the old one and i tested it on an RGB lTV and did the same thing does anybody have any solution they lead is made by fire it's rather old but looks in good condition.

Check all the pins/ prongs in the scart block, one of them could be broken or bent back.
