    PS2 RGB Cable

I'm needing me an RGB SCART cable for PS2, but AFAIK Sony don't do an official one, so what's the best one to go for? I know that so many are just rebranded cheap HK ones that are wired badly, give a composite image etc, so I thought I'd asked for some recommendations .

Seems the one to get is the IXOS,which i have on my Jpn PS2.
However i get better results from this, which i have on my US model.
Seems to be all about your scart splitter i think.

Yes, there is an official one. There was also an official one released for the old Playstation that is identical apart from being grey, if you find that it's probably going to be cheaper.

The reason why no-one stocks them is that Sony charge an arm and a leg; it's about the same as the fancypants IXOS one.

If you can find the offical Sony one, I'd get that over the IXOS one.

I have the IXOS one and despite it having certain advantages over the Sony (eg gold plated), the connectors are slightly flimsy. I have to spend a lot of time adjusting the position of the cable to get the best signal out of it. Very annoying when you've spent 20 quid.

I have three of the old grey Sony RGB cable. It is a great cable and is probably the best official RGB cable I've got.

The official Sony one is ?35 which is stupidly expensive when the Blaze one is at least IMO as good.

Be very careful when buying the cable, the number of times I've come across RGB labelled cables which have just been composite... grr...

                    And they still sell them.
