Sony kv29ls30 4.3 TV

hi

just wondering if anyone knows how well this tv preforms
with games , im interested in buying one , i like the idea
it is still 4.3 and not widescreen due to the fact i like to
play arcade PCBs on my supergun

also is this TV still available to buy new (i dought it) but if
it is could someone point me in the right direction

I used to have that TV, never actually played games on it but it had a lovely picture when displaying tv or dvd sources. Certainly a lot better than the newer Sony widescreen models imo. It's just a nice basic set for people who don't want all the extra gubbins that they will never use.

I'm 99.999% sure that it has exactly the same chassis as the 21LS30U which is widely regarded as probably the best ever 21" gaming TV. With that in mind i'm sure that the 29" version (as long as the larger tube doesn't introduce too many convergence or geometry problems which start to creep in as the tube size increases) will be fantastic for games too.

Dunno how much chance you've got of finding a new one though.

It would seem these babies are discontinued..used to have a similar one myself, great for gaming. Flawless thru RGB.

You'd be lucky to find one new.

I can only suggest either a google search, ebay, or loot.

Sony 4:3 televisions are fantastic- much better than their dodgy wide-screen models. I always had Sony before 2000 and all my games looked brilliant- especially all my old 2D stuff!

Try cash converters or Toshiba TV as you can buy big Toshiba 4:3 TV. This might be good enough for your need.

just get the new sony 21" model, its great for 2d stuff.

surely sony still do a 4:3 tv, u tried there website ?

according to sonys site it does all the ntsc 3.58/4.43 and rgb and svideo
