Can anyone tell me how long Resident Evil 4 is? I've jsut gone past the cemetary (need a something to open up the church where ashlee is held).

I reckon average play time first time through is about 20hrs give or take. My first time was 22hrs I think.

Took me 30hrs as I left it on pause while I did other things a few times. As has been said, you have a LONG way to go, and it gets even better the further you get.

Took me 16 hours with a mate...but that was basically a non-stop 16 hour playthrough from a Saturday to Sunday

It pisses all over Doom for atmosphere, IMO
Being chased by a dozen villagers into a dead end, then hearing a chainsaw start up before you see a chainsaw maniac running towards you...no game has ever had such an unnerving atmosphere, IMOComment

First time through it took me about 18hr's. Second time through was 7hrs, then the 3rd time with the chicargo typewriter, it took me under 3 hours.

Actually time is something I should take into consideration, cuz I rented it. I'm not one for survival horror, only rented it because of the amount of hype and critical acclaim it received. I've gotten to the point where leon and ashley run into the castle (after raising the bridge away from the angry mob with torches). To be honest, I'm not really impressed. I find the story intriguing... at this point I'm not exactly sure just what is going on.... who's the third party.... the traitor, something about no coincidences, etc etc, but apart from that its not very interesting. Hey, nobody says it's a good game because of the storyline. If you want meaty storyline you're probably best looking elsewhere.
Me, I couldn't care less about why I'm barricading the windows against a mob of bloodthristy spaniards. It's exciting!
