    Wireless network problem

    Hi guys,

Tonight for no apparent reason my girlfriend's PC cannot connect to our wireless network.

The signal strength is fine but it's saying that the network has not assigned the computer an IP address.

The network is a beklin router connected to blueyonder broadband.

    Her machine is running XP.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    cheers

What did you do? I've had this a couple of times with my bedroom PC, which I don't use all the time. Last time I manually set up the TCP/IP, but at the moment I can get onto the local network and access the main PC in the lounge, but not the internet (main PC works fine via the same network/router etc...)

I've been thinking about this for about five minutes but i'm afraid my memory is like a siv (sp)

I think it was something simple like disconnecting from the network and reconnecting, but that does sound too simple....

sorry, i'll write it down next time it happens (and it will happen)
