    Liksang.com or Play-Asia.com ???

I thought Liksang was the ever reigning king of Japanese Import (as a company and not Tokuda

Since their bust-up with M$ and Sony, they temporarily closed (it was on CNN!) They never seem to have a huge range of stuff like they did, play-asia has a whole lot more, anyone ever used play-asia before? I may order there sometime.

if it's worth anything, I used liksang before and after they shut down, and they are just as good now, as they were then, which is to say, quite good.

I have used both, and both are great.

Sometimes there are minor price differences (usually play-asia.com are cheaper) so I just go with the cheapest usually.

Play-asia marked down the value of my package and marked it as a gift without me asking them to. I asked Lik-sang to do the same, and they did also.

I would recommend both to anyone.

Is that to keep the Import taxes down? never thought of doing that, I got lumbered with ?60 from UPS when they delivered my GC last year....bugger....

When you get stuff couriered I think it will often get customs tax because they need to declare the value of the stuff to the courier.

However, I always use regular air mail to try to avoid this.

You can still be lumbered with a customs charge but if the value declared is under some threshold (somewhere around ?15) you dont need to pay customs (I think declaring it as a gift can help this too).

But then you can probably go to jail or something for purposely avoiding the charge

Personally I'm more partial to Play Asia. They ship fast they let you track and they have great prices. Not to mention a good variety of everything for every system.

I use Lik San and NSCX as my expensive alternatives to Play Asia.

I use Play-asia and NCSX these days.

Also use DCSLinks now and then.

Lik-sang can sometimes be cheaper, so it is worth checking.

I got the Appreciate DVD from Lik-sang and it was about ?8 cheaper than from play-asia.
