Gamecube RGB cable query

Just a quick question regarding the Gamecube. Can I use my modified RGB cable that I use on my NTSC GC with a PAL GC?

Thought i'd save creating a thread to ask my GC related question.........

Have an NTSC Cube - looking to get a color display but have been informed that the RGB cables are uber-expensive and I don't really fancy paying for one. I was told S-Video would do the trick.

Will the above item do what I want - give me color? I understand quality will not be as high but TBH i'm not hugely bothered by that.

If your TV supports NTSC then yes it will run in colour, if not it won't and you'll need a modded RGB Scart lead.

Well to my knowledge it supports it. It played games and movies on both my US ps2 and US xbox no problem.
