DVD burning software

I'm looking to back up some stuff on my HD(movies, mp3s, coursework documents etc...) to DVD. What's the best software around for burning stuff to DVD? Is there any decent freeware that does this? I've had a look at Nero's site as that was recommended to me by a friend. Is this any good?

nero is probably the best. for dvd movies if there an iso file from something like dvdshrink then use dvd decrypter to burn them

Yeah Nero is killer for all sorts of disc burning except ISO ripping/burning, which Alcohol 120% is the best for.

And there's always . . . other . . . ways of acquiring these programs remember ;p
