NeoGeo AES Scart Q

Pretty n00b question really, I plan to buy an AES machine soon, so...

I remember reading the AES used the same Scart leads as the MD1. Now, I know the MD1 only provided mono sound through the Scart, you had to get a special custom Scart cable (like the ones sold at VGI) that linked up to the headphones port, in order to get Stereo sound, right?

Does the same apply to the AES, given it uses the same lead?

Yes the AES outputs mono through the AV socket. Same deal as MD, route a lead from the headphone jack for stereo.

I don't know about VGI's cables but the connectors on MD1 and AES RGB leads aren't identical. Two pins are placed a little differently. The MD cable will still work but probably wont go in all the way. Don't use too much force when plugging in the cable.
