Since it?s SNES week it seems like an opportune time to ask this?
I have a UK SNES with a 50/60hz switch. When I hook it up to my Sharp 20inch lcd-tv using either my official Nintendo RGB cable or a cheap 3rd party one I get a beautiful picture for a moment and then the screen grows a lot darker!
Everything is still very faintly visible but it?s extremely dark and totally unplayable. Anyone know what causes this problem? And better yet how do I fix this?
When I hook up the snes using the original supplied composite cable it works fine in both 50hz & 60hz?but I want to play with it using an RGB-cable.
Thank you very much for trying to help me!
Just to make sure:
My TV does supports NTSC / 60hz signals.
GameCube (pal) with RGB is no problem (including imports)
PS2 (pal) with RGB is no problem (including imports)
