Slimline PS2 Help

I know this has probably been answered a million times before, but I've read different opinions, so I'm asking people who actually know.

I have just imported a slimline American PS2.(I live in England). Now I have a couple of questions. As this has an external power supply do I still need a stepdown converter?
And if not, can I just plug it straight in using the usual power lead from a PAL PS2?

Thanks for any help. And sorry for the questions. I just want to be 100% sure.

The power adaptor is multi-voltage, so it'll work fine over here... but you might need a little adaptor to make it fit into a UK socket.

Just bought one of these myself. As Shakey-Jake33 says the power adaptor works fine without a step down.

You can either use a travel adapter to plug the US type plug into the UK mains or alternatively replace the US figure of 8 lead with one fitted with a UK plug (if you have a UK PS2 or Xbox power cable that'll work nicely). They only cost 2-3 quid to buy.
