    Yeah. If the PAL game only does 50Hz, then your NTSC cube will be outputting NTSC 50 - not a common format, so I doubt you'll find any TVs which can display that in colour.
    Your only other solution would be to buy a modded RGB cable for your NTSC cube.

      yep! I got the same problem.
      on my PDP I got black screen with audio...
      hence I now only buy NTSC-U/NTSC-J titles for my Platinum GC

        Would a viper/qoob chip solve this?
        Not really interested in the backup side but direct booting imports sounds good if it can force video modes.

          The Viper can't override screenmodes (yet), but apparently the Qoob can. I've never used a Qoob chip though, so I don't know what the compatibility is like. Apparently the Qoob can also force prog scan in PAL games, but compatibility is patchy.
