Help Needed : XBox Scart Cable

Hi. I am very excited about getting an XBox after my exams and i was wondering if you could help me with a problem.

I have recently brought the Blaze PS2 Scart cable from GamePlay which i think is brilliant:

I am very pleased with it but i can't seem to find anything like it for XBox and i was hoping you would be able to help me out. I would like the best picture quality i can as i believe that a good picture gives a more enjoyable experience while playing. I would also like the cable to be RGB so i can play in 60hz as my TV cannot do it by itself. I also need audio out cables as i use my hi fi for sound.

I have found one on EBay but i don't know if it will give me green screen when watching DVDs:

Any help would be much appreciated as i can't seem to get any information about this anywhere.

    Many Thanks, Pez

There's one for you. If you do a seach on most sites for an 'Xbox Advanced Scart', I think it does everything you need it to do. Not sure about Audio out Cables, but it does have an Optical out to attach an external HiFi.

Cheers for that but the audio out wouldnt work with my hifi. I need connections like the ones in the product from EBay. Do you know if you use rgb if it will give you green screen and i heard about problems with the screen going dark when using RGB with an XBox. Does anyone know about these?

The Xbox's RGB is naturally a little less vibrant than the PS2s, so if you're really sensitive then you'll notice.

If you've got to have Phono, how about this:
http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/...gb_scart_cable (those definately look like Phono ports to me, but you might need to supply your own cables.

I'd pop them a quick e-mail confirming that those are audio phono ports first, though. I've looked at another website, and that leads me to believe they are, but I'd hate for you to waste money on my error.

the joytech scart lead from virgin megastores or gamestation i think, is an excellent lead as i have one and you get the rgb scart , or can use svideo lead, optical out socket with cable and the standard red/white audio leads

Sorry to hijack this thread with a question of my own, but I've just got a new TV (Philips 26 PF 9946 LCD), which I was looking forward to because my previous TV (a Toshiba 36" CRT) didn't support RGB.

Aside from the nasty ghosting on the image that is getting the TV swapped at the weekend, the only other problem I've had is that when I try to use my XBox RGB cable, I get nasty green screen on everything (not just DVDs).

The RGB cable is one that I conned Gamestation into splitting from their Xbox Starter Kit, 4Gamers branded if memory serves. Definitely specified as an RGB cable. I'm also using the argos switcher, so I can select RGB instead of composite. The PS2 and GC are displayed fine in RGB.

I don't think I've got the receipt and don't like my chances of getting it swapped anyway, as I conned them a bit getting them to split it. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong? Does it sound like a knackered cable?

Ive got the same problem mate but to solve it I use a different scart socket on the back of the tv, check if your scart socket will take rgb.

Im sure some one more techied up than me can you tell us exactly what is going wrong

                      Forgot I'd posted this!

I've tried both Scart sockets, with and without the switcher, and both work with PS2 RGB, but not with Xbox. Weird.....

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's the inputs that are fubarred and causing the ghosting. They're swapping it out today, so I'll try it again this afternoon....
