problem with xbox usb adaptor

i have recently installed the super joybox 10 for the pc which enables you to use xbox pads on your pc! it was great for halo and i bought it specifically for chaos theory, but when i finally got chaos theory it wasn't detecting the pad at all???

now after doing numerous online searches for my problem i have realised that after running a disk cleanup program, i have unwittingly deleted the INSTALL.LOG file which is necassery to a, install drivers for the xbox usb device b,remove program from my computer.

this leaves me in real limbo as i have my new game and all necassery equipment for decent online play, but because of this silly pc problem i cant get anywhere??
i have read something about having to uninstall the program manually, but havent got a clue where to start.

Try installing it again over the top, then uninstalling, the missing file should be replaced.

If you do have to do it manually, remove all files and folders associated with it, open regedit (and backup your registry) then search for the name of the manufacturer or device and remove entries for it.

It might be worth seeing if it's in your System Restore backup, if you use it.

I think i had problems using the official original and update drivers for the joybox, i found another set of drivers work with them meant for homemade xbox connecter and it works fine, when i get home i'll check the name of the homebrew driver
