Im trying to add a new HD to a friends chipped Xbox, its something Ive done many times before with no problems until now. When launching the XB, the customer service error 07 appears, which would suggest to me that the HD isnt getting power or a problem with the IDE cable connection. Ive checked these all many times now, reseated cables, and proven that the HD is getting power, but now Im at a loss as to what might be the problem here. I tried the same HD in my xbox and it works fine, the original HD back in the problem XBox still does not work, so I dont think its a issue with the HD itself. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try setting the jumper on the HD to Cable select? Or maybe try a new IDE cable? -
Check the HD power connector.
There is a small cover where the cable join on. The cables are connected by pressing them on to 'v' grooved metal pins which cut through the insulator and can become loose. Try pressing the cables down with a small screwdriver to make a better connection.
