psp connection to the pc

I thought when you connect the psp to win xp it auto detects it as a removable drive.

Alas mine doesnt for some reason, i'm using the mini-usb that came with my mni-disc as i thought that would have been ok.

Are there any obvious reasons why the computer wont see the psp or is there software you have to put on the pc (usb drivers etc?)

no, theres an option to the far right called usb connection. select that when you have it connected to your pc and bingo you should see it popping up in windows.
