    Chipped Xbox Live Problems

Ok i have a chipped xbox (xecuter2) with a switch, i recently removed evox and updated my dash for Live, i've not put evox back on yet but i am unable to connect to Live. Everything is fine except it reads as follows:

    Cable connected
    IP settings confirmed
    DNS resolved
Xbox Live not found - Heres the problem!!!!

Ive got stock HDD, and am using Internet connection sharing with connection sharing enabled. My ISP is Demon, & i've never been on Live before.

    C Drive is as follows:
    Audio
    backup
    fonts
    xboxdashdata.17f14d00
    xodash
    items.txt
    settings_adoc.xip
    Xbox Book.xtf
    Xbox.xtf
    xboxdash.xbe

Now i must say the 1st time i tried to connect i didn't realise that i had a game on E drive.... hope that didn't screw things up, its been deleted now but i still get the same error message. Also i still had a Skins folder for evox in C drive which o forgot to erase the 1st time. Although i had the chip off whenever i tried to connect.

Your help would be much appreciated.

If you can track down the Slayers disc (torrent for it on Xbins), that disc lets you return the drive to stock condition. You can then proceed to update Live etc from there.

      Cool will try that.

Also got some help from xbox scene forums and it seems i'm getting the "C2 error" within my WXYZ codes.

So another suggetsion was to use enigmah video mode switcher to switch video modes and then switch back, which supposedly sometimes sorts out the C2 error.

      Fingers crossed something works.

It didn`t work for me but if you manage to get it working could you post your results?

Nah the video switching mode with enigmah didn't work.

All i can think of is that when i 1st tried to connect to Live it didn't like something on 1 of the drives, tho this seems unlikely considering people have been going on Live with all sorts of stuff on their C drive OR that despite the switch for the ship, M$ are still able to detect my chip somehow.

I've even returned my XBox to its retail settings via Slayer Evox Auto installer, but that didn't help either.

Gonna have to have a search on the web for my next move. Any suggestions? Dont think i'll bother buying another xbox esp for Live with 360 just around the corner.

Have you double checked to see if your Xbox Live save is still there?

Not quite sure what u mean... i've never been on Live before with any game, so wouldn't have a 'Live save', i'm clicking on the New account option.

Ofcourse i may be acting like a total spaz, since i dont know what u mean by a "live save"!
