Problem with Mech Assault, help!

I got a copy of the game at the store, it didn't load. I took it back and it still didn't load, even though the same disk worked on the XBox at the store. My system has only had a loading error with 1 other game once, but that game (Doom 3) has worked every other time.

For the record, my XBox is a NTSC-JP one and the MechAssault I bought was marked NTSC-JP both on the box and the disk, and I bought it in Japan.

get it replaced or refund I'd say...
call me lazy but when that kind of thing happens with me I simply get refund and pick up used copy down the track if I remember then...

Got the refund. I was hoping it didn't mean something wrong with my XBox.

how old is your xbox?
there were different DVD drive used for Xbox and some better than the others from what I heard...

I've replaced all my xbox with SAMSUNG DVD drive from later Xbox when I was building them...
