Kirby Air Ride

My gameshop told me this game supports 16 players, but when I read Gamespot and Gamefaqs, I'm not entirely sure this is true.
Can anyone verify?
(else I bought 2 US Kirby's for nothing -_- )

Mario Kart supports 16 though, and this could too I guess.

probably supports 16 players if you have 4 cubes connected via lan & all of them playing 4 player split screen.

16 players was in a 4 Gamecube LAN, if that wasn't clear
If it supports 8, I'm already content ^_^

Ok, just tested it, but unless I need to unlock something, it's a 4 player max. game, even in LAN.
So that was a wasted $40 for two Kirby's

"what the **** were you thinking putting LAN play in kirby"

why not Fzero? sigh

so many wasted oppurtunities.
