why is it so ****?

i bought this today and it sucks ass, how can they screw it up so badly to the snes game. i dont remember the snes game being this bad, it had some really nice effects and decent music from what i can remember. or is this just me and my memory being bad?

If memory serves, the devs were quoted saying that IREM were unable to provide them with the source code from the Super Fami game so they had to build it from scratch. Allegedly.

Time was another factor, but I feel I must question their priorities as they had time to implement a save system but not iron out the bugs that makes the game unplayable?

This port is just a poor, wretched imitation of R-Type III.
