Need help with Bujingai dragon boss

The dragon which attacks you as you stand on glowing platforms. I cannot beat this guy. I keep getting combo'ed by his attacks, and end up losing all my enegry. All my meters (defence, swords etc) are maxed out, but I'm still having problems. ADoes anyone have any strategies/tips for this boss?
