Quick question about JAP Lumines and WiEout Pure

I'm in a rush to knwo whethre the Japanese versions of Lumines and Wipeout Pure are easy ot understand despiet me not knowing the language very well. They are going cheaply on eBay and I would like a quick and switf answer please!

The menus in Lumines are all in English, & Wipeout can be set fully to English, so no problems on either count.
