Xbox Problem

Just moved house and unpacked the xbox to find that the picture on the screen is SEVERLY dark, ie u can just make out the colours etc.

Anyone any ideas? It's a v1.0 modded with matrix and have never had any problems, the mod is still working!

The V1.0 I had would display a pretty dark picture on some TV's. I think it's a characteristic of the video chip they use.

Severely dark could mean that something is up with the cable though - check the SCART pins are making good contact. Wiggle them about and see if that makes a difference.

Yeh i played with the scart lead etc, pins, cleaned contacts etc and nothing.

Anyway,

Came back to it a few hours later....works fine

Thats the thing it deffo wasn't, i replaced the cable with the one that came with the machine, tried different scart sockets, everything you can think of.

Think there's something ****ed internally but as long as it's working now i'm happy
