7800 gtx, gt, etc...who's getting one?

    ok,

how many peeps are getting one of nvidia's new baby's on the 22nd june?

what do people imagine the price will be?

will the card be worth getting at launch or will ati's new upcoming card be a better option?

look here the ati answer, but i suggest you to see both Atis and nvidias card in various benchmarks and then you decide what you will buy.

afaik its just a speed bump?

Your not going to be getting a huge increase as we've seen previously.

Besides, I'm more then happy with my 6800gt!

The ATi is miles off tho, latest rumour is they cant get a working sample.

Normally i would say wait but t could be a few months before ATi launch.

those specs are a load of bollox, because TSMC dont do 90nm manufacturing

as for the 7800 it isnt just going to be a speed bump, its also going to have 24 pipes and 10 vertex units, and later on when ATI bring out there new flagship card nvidia are going to bring out a "refresh" card aka the 7900 with 32-pipes to rival the ati

to be honest specs are a load of gibberish all i and most people want to know is what speed it will play the latest games at and i really doubt they will be worth the price but hopefully when there released it will reduce the price of the x850 cards a bit i will probably buy one of those instead

I am going to go for the ATi card as ATi seeem to be better imo, I always like the space left in my pc with the x800 too, the 6800 was just too power hungry (voltage wise, wattage wise) and too space hungry too, and Nvidia's new offering will probably be the same.I am going to wait for the x900.
