Metal Dance Mats + Dance Games

Some questions to you peeps that have taken the plunge -

I know there's a Logic3 one - is it worth the hundred notes (& where can I get one from)? How durable is it? I don't want to throw down only for it to buckle after a few hours use.

Also, Lik-Sang are now selling this one - click - any thoughts?

Next question - what are the best games?

    Cheers in advance friends

      Another question -

My PS2 is PAL modded (Messiah 1) - I know there are supposed to be synching problems - is that just with import PSX/PS2 games or PAL version as well?

I think there are only syncing problems with the PS1 games, not the PS2. I'm not certain on this as I have a Japanese PS2.

If you're in doubt about the durability of the pads, I give you this site:

Those pads in the pictures use an older v1 design to the logic 3 (v2) metal pads, so in theory the v2 is even better than those pictured.

My own pad has certainly survived a lot of punishment.

I've got one of the metal Logic 3 pads and its very good. Sensitive and tough - its had quite a pounding since I bought it and its been (is) great. Well worth the cash IMO

Great stuff - now, just one more question; is it PS1 compatible?

I've not tried it on a PS1 but supposedly it is. I have played PSone games on the PS2 (Dancing Stage blah blah blah) with it if thats any help...

The cheapest place I found to buy it was www.gameloaded.co.uk at 90 quid.

gameloaded is apparently the same as special reserve (although some prices, like the dace mat, differ) and special reserve have the the mat as "Due for Shipment: 29/5/2003" if that's of any help to you
