I just picked up a Gameboy Player today for my PAL 'cube, and have been trying out some games on it.
It's a bit "softer" than I was expecting - I thought it'd have the option of scaling without any filter effects applied. (like an emulator would do)
The games do look pretty nice on it, but I have one big problem.
I've never had a GBA, and have been playing my games on a DS. Castlevania: Circle of the Moon seems to have quite a lot of slowdown in places where there's none on the DS.
I thought the GB Player had GBA hardware in it, rather than emulating a GBA? Or does the DS use both CPUs to stop the games slowing down?
I've tried playing around with the filter settings, and all I've noticed is that "softer" adds a horrible motion blur to everything to simulate an LCD screen.
Oh, I've been running in 60Hz too, as I would expect 50Hz to either slow things down, or have v-sync disabled.
Surely this isn't normal?
