modded xbox on a tft monitor

Hiya

just got a new pc and have 2 x 19"tft monitors with 12ms response time and Im wondering if i hook up my xbox via vga will my games output 480p and 720p on it?

also if so where and what is the best vga to buy (upto 60 quid)

480p will work fine but 720p is a little more tricky because it's a widescreen resolution that some monitors don't support. Since your monitors are quite new, I would think it will work though.

I think that the X2VGA - http://www.x2vga.com/ is the best VGA box you can get.

480p is good enough for now (im thinking of xbox 360 when i ask about 720p)

Hmm I'm interested in getting one of those. They seem like a reliable company, has anyone have experience with ordering from them? And about the adaptor itself, will it work properly on my 4 year old CRT?

The VD-Z3 will allow you to use any device that outputs progressive scan over component connections, so that means PS2, Gamecube, DVD player too. X2VGA only works with the Xbox and may not work with the 360 at all.

Your Xbox will have to be outputing NTSC to use this device, but you say its modded, so I'm sure you are aware of this. I have this device and it is excellent, but unlike X2VGA, it does require a power source. It comes with an Xbox component cable, so if you get an HDTV, you will be covered there also.

I have a pal xbox modded and its got enigmah loaded (i use pro scan on a PJ)
