Xbox 360 launch - Past trend?

Hi,

I'm quite up for getting a 360.

I note the Nov launch date, but I am forever the pesimist on these things. (HL2 will do that to you)

What was the release like with xbox 1 (I never bought one)
How close to the "projected" release date were Microsoft? How close was the UK behind the USA? Was it a well managed affair?

Just trying to make a judgment on how likely the Novemeber date is.....

It's late Nov for US, very early Dec for us from what I hear. MS have stated publically several times it's going to be as near global release as poss, so there are no worries about waiting til 2006 or anything like that. I think the gap between the US and UK release of Xbox1 was only 5 months, which isn't too bad by past console standards. I remember the 12 months i waited for the UK PS1 nearly killed me.
