    Port forwarding/Connection Upgrade

    Howdy
I was on a 512 connection for ages and did all the port forwarding, and i think the most k's i got was around 80.
Today i was upgraded and thought i'd start a torrent to check out my speeds. At the moment the most theyv'e hit is 30,so i'm wondering would i need to re-open the ports, would they have been closed when the connection upgrade took place?

    Cheers

you shouldn't need to open any ports (I didn't when upgraded with NTL) Torrents aren't the best thing to rely on to test speeds tbh, there are certain programs that test up and down speeds etc, and let you know if your line is "upto scratch" will see if I can remember the program/link.

    EDIT: try something like this

If you opened the ports up you would of done it on your router and there would be no need to do it again when your line has been upgraded, surely?.
